Kognitive supports both standard load balancing and true packet-level bonding. Whether you need intelligent traffic distribution or unbreakable aggregated bandwidth, the same cloud-managed platform delivers both.

Standard Load Balancing

Traffic is distributed across available WAN links on a per-IP-flow basis. Each connection is assigned to the best available link at session creation, giving you simple, native multi-WAN redundancy with no additional overhead.

Ideal for deployments where link diversity is sufficient to absorb failures gracefully, and where per-session consistency matters more than raw aggregate throughput.

Advanced WAN Bonding with MPK-VPN

Konnect establishes a dedicated MPK (Multi-Path Kognitive) tunnel from each Edge device to the Konnect Hub over every available WAN link simultaneously. Traffic is distributed at the packet level across all active tunnels, so if any single link fails, sessions continue uninterrupted and the full remaining bandwidth is still available.

Unlike simple failover, bonding means the network never falls back — it absorbs the loss and keeps going.

The Hub is where
bonding comes together.

The Konnect Hub acts as the central termination point for all Edge device traffic. It reassembles bonded packet streams, applies centralized routing and policy, and provides inbound public reachability to wireless-first deployments that would otherwise be unreachable behind carrier NAT.

  • Traffic Termination: Hub acts as the termination point for all Edge device traffic
  • SNAT: Source Network Address Translation provided by default
  • No-NAT Option: Available for client network traffic requiring transparent routing
  • Policy Enforcement: Centralized traffic policy management across all connected sites

  • Public Reachability: Allows inbound access to Edge devices via the Hub
  • Wireless-Friendly: Enables LTE/5G/Starlink (which block inbound traffic) to maintain public reachability
